Kim Kardashian Pens Open Letter About Robbery
Kim Kardashian is opening about the horrific robbery experience that she experienced last year.On Sunday, Keeping Up With The Kardashian’s aired the episode about the robbery. Before the episode aired, Kim wrote on social media:
Tonight’s episode is going to be very tough for me. However, I thought it was important to share this story through my eyes & not in an interview where my own words could be twisted. I have always shared so much & I’m not going to hold back when this was probably one of the most life changing experiences for me. I would never wish this experience upon anyone, but have learned some valuable lessons & feel so blessed to be safe home with my babies & husband. To my friends, family, and loved ones I can’t thank you enough for being there when I needed you the most. To the French police, thank you for your incredible hard work. *This was our last family photo taken in Paris
After the episode aired, Kim wrote the following on social media:
As previously reported, on October 2, 2016, while attending Paris Fashion Week, Kim was robbed at gunpoint in the apartment where she was staying. Five individuals, dressed as police officers, bound and gagged her, then stole $10 million worth of jewelry. The thieves got in her residence by threatening the concierge. Once they accessed Kim’s room, they held a gun to her head, tying her wrists and legs and wrapping duct tape around her mouth as a gag. Kim, who was placed in the bathtub, was physically unharmed and reportedly begged for her life. She managed to wriggle her hands free from the plastic ties around her wrists and scream for help. The thieves escaped. On October 6, 2016, it was revealed that filming for the next season of Keeping up with the Kardashians had been placed “on hold indefinitely” after the robbery. Production resumed on October 26.
