Tami Roman On Getting Illegal Butt Injections, Wanting Jennifer Williams On BBWLA Instead of Evelyn Lozada
Tami Roman On Illegal Butt Injections & Basketball Wives
The new season of Basketball Wives is officially here and Tami Roman is spilling the tea. During a recent interview, the reality star dishes on if she laid hands on any of her cast members; if she was surprised that Evelyn Lozada returned to the show and whether or not Shaunie O’Neal has the power to hire and fire. Tami also speaks candidly about having second thoughts about getting illegal butt injections and hints that this season, one of her daughters comes clean about how she feels that her mother is dating a younger man. Check out a few excerpts.
If she fought anyone this season:
It’s pretty close, but I did NOT fight.
If their contracts state they can NOT fight:
It does not. No, it doesn’t say anything about that. They say they’re not responsible if you do.
If she’s surprised that Evelyn Lozada came back to the show:
I am. What’s the point of that if you’ve had your own show? You basically say you would NEVER come back. And then now, here you are. I think that once her show got cancelled on OWN, she wanted that to continue, being in the limelight. I would have personally liked to have Jenn [Jennifer Williams] back [laughs].
If Evelyn blocked Jennifer from returning to the show.
I’ll tell you one thing. Jenn came and I had a scene on the show and Jenn came to support me and from that scene, they wanted her to be on that show. The producer that we had at the time, called Evelyn and all of a sudden Jenn wasn’t taping anymore. Now, I don’t know if Evelyn had anything to do with that, but the moment kind of disappeared.
Regretting her butt injections:
It was one of those boot-leg places, yes. I’m not going tell you who (did the injections), but I live in Houston, I know a lot of strippers and I asked who the plug was. I didn’t like it and I still don’t. I feel like I put too much in…I can’t fit my clothes and I gotta find jeans to go over the ass and it’s all a problem.
Her daughter’s reactions to the butt injections:
My daughter’s were like, ‘Mom why are you doing that? You don’t have to do that.’ They’re like my voice of reason.
Part of what she’ll share on this season:
One of my daughters is not as involved in my relationship with Reggie and for the first time she comes clean about her thoughts on our age difference and how it’s affecting her.
If Dwyane Wade’s baby mama, Aja, talks about their child or relationship on the show:
She stays far away from the story.
If Shaunie O’Neal has control of who is or is not on the show:
I’ve seen both situations. I’ve seen her say, ‘I don’t mess with her’ i.e. Laura Govan, ‘She got to go.’ And I’ve seen her say, ‘I don’t mess with her but she’s good for the show’ i.e. Brandi (Maxiell) last season.
If Brandi Maxiell is returning this season:
Brandi makes an appearance this season, yeah. I wouldn’t say she’s back, but she makes a few appearances.
The new season of Basketball Wives airs Monday (April 17th) on VH1.
