(EXCLUSIVE) Jesse Williams Did NOT Deny Wife Spousal Support: He doesn’t want to pay her his entire life!
Jesse Williams Did NOT Deny Wife Spousal Support
theJasmineBRAND.com exclusively reports, Jesse Williams is NOT denying his estranged wife Aryn Drakelee-Williams spousal support. Sources close to the situation tell us that on the court documents, his attorney checked the box denying Aryn support, but it’s simply a technicality.
They did not have a long term marriage so she is not entitled to lifetime support. His lawyer checked that particular box to make sure that after the allotted spousal support mark, it is terminated.
The couple was married for 5 years, so his legal team wants to ensure that she doesn’t receive the support for her entire life. We’re told that in the state of California, if the marriage lasts less than 10 years, a wife (or spouse) may be entitled to spousal support for half of the length of the marriage. However, if a couple was married 10 years or longer, the spouse may be entitled to support for duration of their lifetime.
theJasmineBRAND.com broke the story, the 35-year-old Grey’s Anatomy actor filed for divorce April 11th, after 5 years of marriage. He is asking a judge to grant him joint physical and legal custody of their two children. The reason for the filing is,
irreconcilable differences.
A source adds,
They’re trying to keep their split top secret and away from the public. They’ve actually been separated for awhile now.
The split is said to be ‘amicable’. Jesse and Aryn have a son named Maceo and daughter named Sadie.
Neither have commented about the impending divorce.
