Steve Harvey’s Internal Staff Email Leaks
An alleged internal email that Steve Harvey sent to the staff at his talk show, has gone viral. The email was reportedly sent at the beginning of the current season. In it, Harvey instructs the staff that they should make an appointment if they want to see him, as opposed to waiting on him in the hallway, ambushing him while he’s in dressing room, etc. In short, he’s not a fan of pop-up visits. Check out the alleged email below.
Good morning, everyone. Welcome back.
I’d like you all to review and adhere to the following notes and rules for Season 5 of my talk show.
There will be no meetings in my dressing room. No stopping by or popping in. NO ONE.
Do not come to my dressing room unless invited.
Do not open my dressing room door. IF YOU OPEN MY DOOR, EXPECT TO BE REMOVED.
My security team will stop everyone from standing at my door who have the intent to see or speak to me.
I want all the ambushing to stop now. That includes TV staff.
You must schedule an appointment.
I have been taken advantage of by my lenient policy in the past. This ends now. NO MORE.
Do not approach me while I’m in the makeup chair unless I ask to speak with you directly. Either knock or use the doorbell.
I am seeking more free time for me throughout the day.
Do not wait in any hallway to speak to me. I hate being ambushed. Please make an appointment.
I promise you I will not entertain you in the hallway, and do not attempt to walk with me.
If you’re reading this, yes, I mean you.
Everyone, do not take offense to the new way of doing business. It is for the good of my personal life and enjoyment.

Geez somebody sure is smelling their own armpits.
The man is grown and famous….He can set his own rules for day to day contact with his staff…..They probably treat him like any other fan does and he’s tired of it….
I feel that Steve has forgotten that it was God who has blessed him. And not his ego. He needs to take his attitude down a peak or two.
Mr. Harvey, is an extremely busy man. I agree with his request. Make an appointment. He deserves time to his self… Yes even at work. Everyone needs space and me time. He is a talk show, game show, radio host, owns a clothing line, comedian, writes books, operates a camp for boys, host little big shots, Ms. America Pagent, did sitcoms, hosted apollo, did movies… He is an extremely hard working man. So, when he wants downtime to relax a moment…. He has EARNED IT!!! RESPECT THE MANS SPACE!!! There is nothing wrong with this… he simply wants people to schedule time so that they are not popping up!! This is how things are done at certain levels! Can you imagine how many people want to just pop in and disturb him! He’s the boss and if you want a meeting schedule it the right way! Shame on the employee for trying to be petty by releasing this! He is just setting chain of command!

People who have never worked in the entertainment industry will never understand. You’re supposed to set three rules from DAY ONE.
Jeez Earl and Judith stop excusing such diva behavior. These are not reporters, these are not fans, this is the entire staff of his show. They are supposed to be working together, they are all on the same team and at times team members need to communicate. Imagine if your boss said you could no longer stop by to discuss a problem or share an idea? He would be the worst boss in the world. Good managers have an open door policy, bad managers act like this clown.
I don’t anything wrong with this. He’s st tired of ppl bugging him during time is supposed to be be quiet time. How else is supposed to say it ? He is sounding mean. I would have done the same thing.
Wow Steve. I never met you; however I never expected you to behave so unkind, especially being a born again Christian. What a disappointment. You may have your reasons to be selfish and only thinking of yourself, however it definitely does not make it ok. I guess you feel you haved arrived therefore you could care less about other people. Well just remember, regardless of how “large” you get, and how much money you earn, there is always someone larger and richer. Not only that, the Lord gave it all to you, therefore He can take it all away. Beware. Just a friendly reminder not to loose focus. We serve the Lord. We reap what we sow. Just saying.
Stay approachable and humble Steve. Have compassion for your Staff and there concerns and needs.Step back a little Steve and remember when. How soon we forget. I know Steve isn’t God, so his energy is not fuled like in his earlier year’s. Nevertheless, Steve stay focused on the Jesus. If more strength is what you need. You know what time it is. Elevate, teach your staff, assist them in taking your place.
