Kodak Black Files Docs To Legally Change Name
theJasmineBRAND.com exclusively reports, Kodak Black has headed back to court. However, this time the rapper isn’t in trouble, but he’s filed docs to legally change his name to Bill.
The 19-year-old rapper – birth name Dieuson Octave – filed a petition for name change in Florida court on June 19th.
The court records reveal Kodak is attempting to change his name to Bill Kahan Blanco, it’s unclear why he choose the new name.
The judge has yet to sign off on the petition, which may hit a snag due to Kodak still serving probation.
Earlier this month, the rapper was released from jail after being sentenced to 364 days behind bars for violating his probation stemming from a 2016 criminal case.
