LaVar Ball Doesn’t Want Family Compared to Kardashians
LaVar Ball is not a fan of his family being compared to the Kardashian-Jenner family. In a recent interview, the outspoken father of three talented basketball playing sons, explained,
I ain’t no Kardashain, I ain’t Kris Jenner. We the Balls, welcome to the Ball era.
The immediate comparisons may be in response to news that he and his family have snagged a reality show. A few months ago, he actually hinted that reality TV seemed to be in the near future.

Reportedly, the
yet-to-be-titled docuseries about the Ball family, whose sons Lonzo, Liangelo and LaMelo have taken the basketball world by storm. Freshman UCLA star Lonzo Ball was chosen by the Los Angeles Lakers as their No. 2 pick in the NBA Draft last month. Liangelo and LaMelo are stand-outs at Chino Hills High School.
Some also compare LaVar to Kris Jenner, who is monetizing his family as a lucrative brand. In May, LaVar managed the family’s Big Baller Brand, which introduced Lonzo’s signature shoe, the ZO2 — running at $495 after major companies Under Armour, Nike and Adidas passed on working with the Ball family.
