Chance The Rapper Accused of Not Paying JUSTICE League: He’s a religious fraud!
Chance The Rapper Accused of Not Paying Music Producers
Chance The Rapper is being publicly blasted by J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League. The music producers allege that the rapper has not paid them for the “Cocoa Butter Kisses” beat that they produced. According to XXL,
The beat makers seemed to be pissed when they saw news that Chance plans on trying to save SoundCloud. And it opened up a whole can of worms.
“Of course Chance wants to save the free music business model. That’s how he got on by NOT paying,” one tweet posted to the producers’ Twitter feed read.
This kicked off a rant against the rapper that lasted for hours. “Everybody we helped on their way up gave us hit records, but we can’t get ONE penny from homie? Not even a thanks? Is that right and just?…The thing is @chancetherapper normalized the free business model. Don’t pay (or pay minimal) for creation, post on SC and not pay royalties,” J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League wrote.
It is unclear which producer out the production trio of Rook, Colione and Bart was tweeting but they continued to rail against the rapper, even bringing up his family and the situation with Dr. Dre. The production outfit claim they were never paid for “Cocoa Butter Kisses,” a track off Chance’s Acid Rap mixtape that was co-produced by Cam and Peter Cottontale. The former is signed to JL as a producer.
Chance offered a small response during the tirade posting, “This part is true. But the money I ‘owe’ you, I paid to the actual producer who is suing you currently to get out of that slave deal.”
