Angie Stone Reveals How Usher Herpes Story Was Exposed

Angie Stone says that she has spoken to one of the women who is suing Usher, accusing the singer of knowingly giving her an STD. Angie says that she had a conversation with the woman, whose name is Laura, and has firsthand information about the scandal. She tells Streetz 94.5 FM exactly how the situation became publicly, pointing the finger at an ex publicist. She explains,

The story goes like this — it came to me that the young lady’s phone was in the possession of her ex-publicist at the time when there was a relationship between the two of them. She was downloading something to a computer, the ex-publicist ratchetly took everything off her computer, as a result of what ended up on her phone, the ex-publicist started selling information that she had stolen off of this young woman’s phone. They had text messages going back and forth between her and Usher.

As to why ‘Laura’ is seeking financial compensation, Angie says,

This is a young lady with a family that wants a future for her life. This stuff was taken from her and exploited. As a result, she had to come back and combat to cut off the head of the snake.

As previously reported, on July 19, 2017, documents leaked online alleging that Usher has been a carrier of the herpes virus since 2009 or 2010 and that he infected a partner with the virus in 2012. The leaked documents allege that Usher paid the woman’s doctor bills and settled what is alleged to be a civil suit for $1.1 million. On the heels of these allegations, it was reported that another woman filed a $10 million lawsuit against Usher claiming that he exposed her to the herpes virus without her knowledge or consent, which is a crime in certain states. Outlets followed up this story with one alleging that after testing positive for herpes, the woman increased her lawsuit to $20 million.

Three more individuals who say they had unprotected sex with Usher sued him on allegations of fraud, sexual battery, infliction of emotional distress and more, alleging that he was positive for the herpes virus and didn’t tell them in advance. All three are represented by attorney Lisa Bloom who said at the news conference on 8 August 2017 that one of her three clients had contracted genital herpes allegedly from Usher. One of the accusers, Quantasia Sharpton, said she had unprotected sex with him after a concert she attended around her 19th birthday. The other two accusers, one male, one female, preferred to remain anonymous plaintiffs. Sharpton admitted she tested negative for herpes and Bloom stated she didn’t know if the singer had the disease.
