Colin Kaepernick’s Girlfriend Shuts Down Anthem Rumors

Colin Kaepernick’s girlfriend disputes reports that the NFL’er will now stand for the national anthem. Apparently, there were a few stories circulating that he would no longer protest the anthem if he was given a second shot in the league. On Sunday, his girlfriend Nessa Diab, who is a popular radio personality, stated,

The reports that Colin will stand for the anthem are completely false! He has never discussed this with anyone.

Kaepernick quoted Winston Churchill in a tweet Sunday, also implying that reports were false.

Kaepernick has been an unsigned free agent since 2016 — after he started kneeling to protest police brutality in the country. Teams are reportedly wary of hiring him because of the public backlash over him kneeling.
