Colin Kaepernick Filing Grievance Against Owners
Colin Kaepernick, who is a free agent, is filing a grievance under the latest collective bargaining agreement against NFL owners for collusion, according to reports.
The quarterback, who last played with the 49ers, is not going through the NFL Players Association. He has hired high profile attorney Mark Geragos, who has represented A-listers including Michael Jackson, former NASCAR driver Jeremy Mayfield, and musician Chris Brown.
As previously reported, last season Kaepernick attracted national attention when he knelt during the national anthem before games as a protest of social injustice. His kneeling has led to criticism, but has also led to a movement that has spread through the league.
