The photo went viral and she received backlash, with some calling her ‘racist’. Kendra, who is married to former NFL’er Hank Baskett, who happens to be black, took to Twitter responding to the backlash.

we are in the age of social media where you have to explain yourself when actions are questionable, especially if you are ignorant. As simple as picking cotton may seem to a white person, its offensive to a Black person. Apologize with sincerity and understanding of how folks are offended would help her situation, otherwise you are part of the problem.
She could’ve captioned it a bit differently. Like, “I always wanted to feel how unprocessed cotton feels. So I picked some.” or “This stuff looked soft, so I decided to touch it.” No matter how she tries to spin it, her caption was offensive. She should just own it and apologize.
