Kweli had owed hundreds of thousands of dollars in back taxes. For the years 2005, 2006 and 2007 he owed $155,926. For 2008 he owed $137,532 and for 2009 he owed $155,565 for a grand total of $449k! He recently settled his debt with Uncle Sam paying them off.
