EXCLUSIVE: Lyfe Jennings Files for Protective Order Against Baby Mama
Lyfe Jennings Files for Protective Order Against Baby Mama
theJasmineBRAND.com exclusively reports, Lyfe Jennings – real name Chester Jennings – is getting the law involved concerning his baby mama. The 39-year-old singer, who also did a stint on Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta as reality star Karlie Redd’s boyfriend, filed for an order of protection against his ex fiance/baby mama Joy Bounds. Lyfe shares two kids with Joy.
He filed for himself and on behalf of his son Elijah Jennings in Georgia Court. It’s unclear what he alleges Joy did that prompted him to take legal action, but the case is listed as “family violence”.
A hearing was held last month on Lyfe’s motion for a temporary protective order, but the court denied the petition. A hearing has yet to be set for the court to hear the singer’s case for a long-term restraining order.
Joy has yet to respond to the case, but the court lists the case as ‘active’.
Unfortunately, this isn’t the first spat between Lyfe and Joy. The pair have battled in court over child support and visitation issues. Click here for the backstory.
