Cardi B Ties Beyonce With Billboard Record
Cardi B Ties Beyonce
Winning season for Cardi B continues. The 25-year-old “Bodak Yellow” rapper has placed four songs simultaneously in the top 10 of the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart (dated Jan. 13) for the second week in a row.
The four songs are courtesy of her featured turn on G-Eazy’s “No Limit,” also featuring A$AP Rocky, at No. 2; “Motorsport,” with Migos and Nicki Minaj, at No. 3; her debut hit “Bodak Yellow (Money Moves)” holding at No. 5; and “Bartier Cardi,” featuring 21 Savage.
The only other woman to do this – land four tracks in the chart’s top 10 at the same time – is Beyonce. On May 14, 2016, the mega singer’s four songs were “Formation,” “Sorry,” “Hold Up” and “6 Inch” (featuring The Weeknd) and they occupied the Nos. 6, 7, 8 and 10 spots.
Only six other acts have matched the stat of four of the top 10 spots in a single week since the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart began on Oct. 20, 1958 – 50 Cent, and Drake, Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, Eminem and Kendrick Lamar. Drake and Lamar are the only artists to boast five entries in the region at once.
