Jhene Aiko Addresses Rumors She Cheated On Ex Husband w/ Big Sean
Jhené Aiko has taken to social media, clarifying rumors that she cheated on her ex-husband, producer Dot da Genius with current boyfriend, Big Sean. During an interview with BBC Radio, the singer said that she went went on a first date with the rapper while she was in a relationship.
Jhene was married to Dot from 2014 until 2016 when she filed for divorce. Her divorce became finalized in October 2016. Some fans assumed Aiko had cheated on Dot, but Jhene denied this accusation, saying the first date – which was platonic- happened before she married Dot.
In the interview, Jhene says that her relationship with Sean began as platonic. She explains,
I had just met him and we worked on ‘Beware’ and ‘I’m Gonna Be.’ He wanted to take me out on a date. I had a boyfriend, but I still went as a friend.
She continued,
I had never been court side to a game and he’s cool. I told my boyfriend ‘I’m gonna go to this game.’
