Mo’Nique Slams Charlamagne: You’re Not the Guru of Black Culture!
Mo’Nique is calling out Charlamagne Tha God, after her labeled her ‘Donkey Of the Day’. Last month, he gave her the title, in response to the controversy surrounding her Netflix boycott. Here’s the clip.
This week, the Oscar Award winning actor and comedian appeared on The Breakfast Club, questioning why he gave her the title. Throughout the entire interview, Mo’Nique calls Charlamagne by his government name (Lenard), refusing to call him Charalamgne. At one point, the conversation becomes heated when Mo’Nique tells him,
You don’t know the history of this business that you’re in. You sit behind this microphone and try to be the guru of Black culture, I’m gonna need you to know the history of us before you begin to label us.

One thing with Monique, that lady does her research on your ass so she can pull them cards….even Charla…I mean Leonard had to laugh when she called him by his government name. Hahaha
I haven’t listened to the interview yet, but one thing I can appreciate about Mo’nique is she never sounds ignorant. She speaks facts and backs up what she is saying with receipts. And she don’t sound mad about anything, she is just saying what she will not do and what she is not going to accept. Stand for something or fall for anything!
WELL MONIQUE IS GOING TO HAVE A LOT OF TIME TO SPEAK WITH FACTS AND NOT FALL FOR ANYTHING B/C SHE’S ALIENATING ALL OF HOLLYWOOD AND WON’T BE WORKING………JENNY JONES!!!
I finally listened to that interview and I must say Charlamagne sure acts ignorant when he wants to. And I’ve felt this way twice since I’ve started listening to him. When he spoke with Amara La Negra and kept saying what about Cardi B?
And now when speaking with Mo’nique and saying well what about Tiffany Haddish….He is not trying to hear and understand what she is saying when he is making excuses and rebuttals for every thing she says.
Methinks she’s in full nervous breakdown mode. She is alienating people across all spectrums. Whom will she turn to. She needs the sage, Sdiney Poitier to have a sitdown with her.
Sydney took a lot shit and did lot of shit he didn’t want to do. But that was then…this is now.
All I said was a “sit-down.” Denzel, Jamie, Oprah, Morgan, Quincy, and many others have spoken about have sessions with Sydney, and one common theme that they all talk about in terms of their conversations with is the concept of ownership. Of course he too alot of shit, as did damned near every black peraon did in that era, in ANY industry. Monique no rhyme or reason to what she is doing.

Its amazing to me how these comments from someone who has clearly not understand the his-tory of our people to continue with misinformation, ignorance and vicious name calling and having the nerve to say “You were just making good radio” YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT HOW WHO WHY WHEN of Good radio!!!
I’ve been on the air since 1984!! Do you want to have this kind of longevity?

When you are on the battlefield of life career, you ask then demand to
BE TREATED AND COMPENSATED FAIRLY IN YOUR VOCATION.
You are labeled difficult, diva, unreasonable, tainted, damaged and when YOU know that is simply because you are not a man, of a certain hue.
GOD FORBID you have a thinking fully functional brain that some feel threatened by… What is a difficult, diva, unreasonable, tainted, damaged YOU 2 DO!?
