[UPDATE] Tiger Woods Reportedly Caught w/ Hydrocodone Pills In His Pocket At The Time Of DUI Arrest, Cops Say His Pupils Were ‘Extremely Dilated’
New details are giving a clearer picture of #TigerWoods’ DUI arrest, and what authorities say was found on him at the scene.
According to an arrest affidavit obtained by TMZ, Tiger had two loose pills in his pocket when deputies took him into custody after a March 27 rollover crash in Florida. The pills, stamped “M367,” were identified as hydrocodone, a prescription opioid used to treat pain. The report also states that Tiger showed multiple signs of impairment, with deputies noting he appeared “lethargic and slow,” was sweating heavily, and had eyes that looked “bloodshot and glassy” with “extremely dilated” pupils. Investigators pointed out he had persistent hiccups during the encounter. While on the scene, Tiger denied drinking alcohol but admitted he had taken prescription medication earlier that morning.
As previously reported, the golf icon was driving a black Range Rover when it collided with a pickup truck that had slowed to turn into a driveway on Beach Road in Hobe Sound. Tiger reportedly told authorities he was distracted by his phone while adjusting the radio and didn’t notice the vehicle slowing down ahead of him, leading to the crash. After being transported to the hospital, he was later arrested for DUI with property damage and for refusing to submit to a lawful test.
His next court appearance is scheduled for April.
