Trey Songz Denies Attacking Woman ‘I Am Being Lied On’
Trey Songz Denies Attacking Woman
Trey Songz (real name Tremaine Neverson) is speaking publicly for the first time, addressing claims that he choked and hit a woman last month at a party in the Hollywood Hills. He says,
For weeks my lawyers & Mgmt have asked me not to comment on this and I initially agreed but this morning I feel that my fam, the women that raised me, my friends & fans especially the youth need to hear from me.
He continued,
I am being lied on and falsely accused for someone’s personal gain I won’t be speaking too much more on this but would like to thank you for all the prayers and support.
As previously reported, 27-year-old Andrea Buera claims that the R&B star choked and punched her.
Earlier this month, she held a press conference with attorney Lisa Bloom stating,
I was attending an afterparty when Trey began yelling at me, choking me, punching me, and ultimately he knocked me to the ground. While I was on the ground, he continued punching me, and he did not stop until his security pulled him off of me. People stood and watched, and some scurried away. When I called an Uber, he threw my phones over a cliff.
She continued,
I had to go to the hospital because he hit me so hard that I had a concussion and was throwing up from the migraines. Trey, I’d like any apology. I want you to get help, and although I am not your first victim, I’d like to be your last.
Songz has maintained his innocence. A Los Angeles judge ordered the singer to to stay at least 100 yards away from Buera and not attempt to contact her directly. In her statement to the court, she claims that incident began when Songz became angry over her conversation with another man. In the restraining order paper work filed she claims he told her,
You want to act like a ho and get with my boy?
Buera claims he “charged” at her and began choking and beating her. She stated,
I tried defending myself by hitting his hand off of my neck but when I got out of the choke hold, he then started punching me in the face. I was able to get away from him and began circling a car in the garage screaming and crying while others just watched and spread out.
She says Songz eventually apologized and gave her $2,000 to replace her phones before a driver took her home.
Do you believe Songz or the alleged victim?
