Wendy Williams Cries During Her Return To TV

It was an emotional return to TV for Wendy Williams. Today (March 19th), the 53-year-old talk show host returned after taking a three-week hiatus from hosting ‘The Wendy Williams Show’ due to complications with her overactive thyroid and autoimmune Graves disease. Twenty minutes into the show, Wendy broke down in tears, telling the audience:

Thank you for understanding and being my special people. I do the show but there are hundreds of people who are the show, and they don’t get the credit they deserve. So, thank you to everyone.

Prior to filming the show, Wendy arrived to the studio and was greeted by her staff with a standing ovation.
