theJasmineBRAND exclusively reports, NFL star Shane Ray is accused of hiring a personal chef who worked for him for months, only to never pay her a dime. She is now suing him for $55k in damages.
A woman named Victoria Murray filed suit against Ray and Impact Sports Management. Murray is a personal chef whose occupation is to travel with and provide personal services to her clients primarily with cooking, shopping and delivering food.
She was asked by Impact Sports to be the NFL star’s personal chef and to relocate to Colorado from her home base in Florida.
She says she worked for Ray from May 2017 to August 2017 and worked in excess of 12 hours a day but never was paid.
Murray claims her base salary was to be $2k a week, but was never paid a salary or wages or overtime. The suit claims she is owed 403 hours of overtime ($29,700) and 396 of straight time ($19,800) for a grand total of $49,500.
Further, she claims she was never reimbursed for food items she purchased at Ray’s direction to cook him, his family and guests meals. She says she spent $5,063 on items she was supposed to be reimbursed for from Ray.
Murray is suing for the unpaid wages, overtime and reimbursements totaling $54,563.
