Kanye West Jokes About Being In the ‘Sunken Place’
Kanye West’s return to social media continues to make headlines. After a self imposed 11 month hiatus from Twitter, last week, to much fanfare, the Chicago born MC used the platform to announce the release dates for several upcoming G.O.O.D. Music projects. While providing an update on multiple projects that he’s producing, Kanye also joked about being in the ‘sunken place’.
As you may recall, back in March, Kanye’s wife (Kim Kardashian) took to social media, addressing critics that compare him to the character in the “Get Out” thriller. See the clip below.
“Get Out” is a horror film starring Daniel Kaluuya as Chris, a black man who uncovers a disturbing secret when he meets the family of his white girlfriend (Allison Williams). Referencing the ‘sunken place’ joke, Ye gave updates on release dates for Nas, Pusha T and Teyana Taylor. He tweeted,
I’m hand producing all the albums I tweeted about.
He added,
Been chopping samples from the sunken place Pusha May 25th My album June 1st me and Cudi June 8th and Teyana June 22nd and oh yeah…Nas June 15th.
Whose album are you most looking forward to – Nas, Pusha or Teyana?
