EXCLUSIVE: Beyonce Continues Lawsuit Against ‘Blue Ivy’ Event Planner – I Did NOT Lie, You Offered Me $10 Million For My Daughter’s Name!
theJasmineBRAND exclusively reports, Beyonce is responding to Veronica Morales’ claims that she lied about offering to sell her Blue Ivy business for $10 million to the singer.
Beyonce shares a 6-year-old daughter named Blue Ivy with husband Jay-Z. Beyonce explains in court documents that she never lied and Morales’ team DID offer to sell her event planning business in their trademark battle over Blue Ivy.
Here’s the backstory: Beyonce is attempting to trademark her daughter’s name and is in a trademarking dispute with a wedding and event planner named Veronica Morales. Morales’ company is called Blue Ivy Events. The company’s web site describes their services stating,
The VALUE in successful, thoughtful planning beyond measure is technically priceless. Blue Ivy, however, has a $1,500 minimum for fabulous, tasteful planning with an outstanding deliverable. Social & Corporate events are both meticulously planned here. Blue Ivy is comprised of highly educated thoroughbred talent, instinctual leadership, accomplished global experience, intuitive translation, mastermind entertainment, an atmosphere magician, impeccable organization, and of course, a truly gifted, boundless designer and visionary: Coast to Coast Celebration Planner, Veronica Alexandra.
The singer’s legal team claims Morales attempted to sell Beyonce her Blue Ivy Events planning business in exchange for Morales to drop her opposition to Beyonce’s trademark request. Beyonce says that Morales’ lawyer offered the acquisition at a minimum of $10 million dollars. However, she says she declined the offer.
In legal documents, Morales denies that she ever offered to sell her business to Beyonce. She accuses the singer and her lawyers of lying about the offer and she says there never suggested a deal. Morales says that she is being depicted unfairly as a blackmailer. The case is ongoing.
