Juelz Santana Indicted On Weapons Charges, Faces 20 Years
Not so good news for Juelz Santana (real name LaRon James). The 36-year-old rapper has reportedly been indicted on weapons charges after authorities claim that he tried to bring a gun on a plane at Newark Liberty International Airport on March 9th.
A loaded .38-caliber handgun and unprescribed oxycodone pills in a carry-on bag containing his identification were reportedly found. They say he fled the area, leaving two bags behind. He turned himself in three days later.
The two-count indictment charges the Dipset member with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and carrying a weapon on an aircraft. The indictment was handed up by a federal grand jury. He could face up to 20 years in prison if convicted on both counts.
Santana had pleaded not guilty to state charges. Santana’s camp has yet released an official statement, but he posted the following on social media.
