Kim Kardashian – Thanks For Meeting w/ Me Trump!
Kim Kardashian West recently visited the White House (May 30) to meet with President Trump to discuss prison reform. She wrote on social media,
I would like to thank President Trump for his time this afternoon. It is our hope that the President will grant clemency to Ms. Alice Marie Johnson who is serving a life sentence for a first-time, non-violent drug offense.
Johnson has been in prison for more than 21 years. Kim shared a photo on Instagram while inside the White House captioning the image,
Happy Birthday Alice Marie Johnson. Today is for you.
Shortly after thanking the president for taking out the time to discuss prison reform and requesting for Alice to be pardoned, Kim shared her thoughts on the meeting and her hopes on her request being granted.
We are optimistic about Ms. Johnson’s future and hopeful that she —and so many like her—will get a second chance at life, she shared in a Twitter post.
President Trump also took to social media to share his thoughts on meeting with the reality star.
Great meeting with @KimKardashian today, talked about prison reform and sentencing.
Do you think Kim’s meeting with the president will resolve this issue?
