Montel Williams Hospitalized After Workout

Montel Williams was rushed to the hospital after suffering a medical issue while working out at a gym in New York City.  Reportedly, the 61-year-old talk show legend was doing dumbbell squats and he
sought out medical attention once he didn’t feel right. Jonathan Franks, spokesman’s for Montel stated,

Anyone who knows Montel knows that he is an exercise enthusiast. Yesterday, he overdid it, and has been admitted to the hospital out of an abundance of caution. He is doing well and anticipates being discharged soon.

He continued on saying that,

We just had to cancel a speech and he’s extremely unhappy he won’t be able to give his speech tomorrow.

Montel was schedule to give a speech on (June 1st). There has been no update on where he was hospitalized. Montel was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1999. “We don’t take any chances
when it comes to somebody with Multiple Sclerosis”, Jonathan stated.

He continued on saying that,

In the coming days, as he always has, Montel will tell his story himself. Until then, we respectfully ask that his family’s privacy be respected. The Williams family will be forever grateful for the quick response from (New York City Fire Department) and the excellent care he has received.
