Alice Marie Johnson Makes 1st TV Appearance Since Prison Release

Alice Marie Johnson is finally free! After 21 years in an Alabama prison for her role in a drug ring, she was granted clemency by President Trump. This was largely due to reality TV star, Kim Kardashian West’s public plea to have her released along with a private meeting with the president. Alice shared her feelings about a personal call from Kardashian West, informing her that she would be released,

Upon Alice’s release, Donald Trump commented,

Meanwhile, social media is pitting Kardashian West against Beyonce in celebration of her efforts for Alice. A Twitter user commented,
