50 Cent Says Lloyd Banks is Off G-Unit, Then Deletes The Message
50 Cent takes pride in being an internet troll. The multi-platinum rapper frequently targets adversaries on social media and makes fun of them. In 50 Cent’s world friends can become foes at the blink of an eye. As we previously reported, he feuded with on again off again ‘friend’ Floyd Mayweather Jr over social media last month. The disagreement stemmed from the boxing champ hiring Teairra Mari; who is suing 50 Cent, a hosting at his strip club Memorial Day. The rapper/actor’s classic beef with multi-platinum rapper Ja Rule recently re-ignited over social media.
50 Cent, real name Curtis Jackson, regularly pokes fun at Bad Boy Records CEO, Diddy and many others via Instagram. When the G-Unit boss posted a photo captioned “Lloyd Bank$ Officially Off G-unit Records” it was unclear if the post was sincere or an attempt to clown his former artist.
Lloyd Banks was a longtime member of G-Unit, appearing on both of the groups albums ‘Beg for Mercy’ in 2003 and ‘T.O.S. Terminate on Sight’ 2008 in addition to various mixtapes. In early 2018, Kidd Kidd announced his departure from both G-Unit as a group member and label artist. Banks has not responded to 50 Cent’s announcement, but 50 seemed to hint at a forthcoming Banks mixtape.
Check out my boy Lloyd Banks. New Mix tape coming soon! Independence Day, he is doing his own thing and you know it’s gonna be loaded with bars. (Check him out) PLK get the strap #50cent
The post has since been deleted. So time will tell what Lloyd Banks actual status is. The “Punch Line King” teased retirement back in March but has since recanted.
Banks and 50 have had an up and down relationship. As we previously reported, the two fell out a few years back when Banks posed for a photo with The Game, who 50 has had a very long-standing beef with.
“What do you see when you look at this picture? I see confusion, I’m not sure if it’s just me, I’m a Cancer shit don’t get old with me,” 50 said about the photo at the time.
50 Cent taking down the post about Lloyd Banks leaving now raises more questions than answers.
