French Montana: I’m Officially a US Citizen!
French Montana has a lot to be excited for. The platinum rapper is now an American citizen. The Moroccan born MC began this process back in February 2017. Gaining US citizenship can provide many opportunities for a resident of the United States. Among these are access to a passport, the right to vote in public elections, and most importantly protection from deportation. Montana, born Karim Kharbouch, has been in the country since he was 13, when his family immigrated to the United States. He wrote,

Becoming a citizen requires a few steps, from establishing your eligibility to filing, fingerprinting, attending an interview, passing tests of your knowledge of English in US civics and attending an oath ceremony. During French’s oath ceremony last night he sang his own personal rendition of the national anthem.
Not one to forget is roots in Africa, French Montana has been quite the philanthropist doing serious charity work internationally. He donated $100,000 to the Mama Hope Foundation, an organization that supports global entrepreneurship to help end extreme poverty in the African country of Uganda. The money went toward a hospital that helped facilitate pregnant women and a health care initiatives.
Last night, French Montana congratulated fellow rapper Drake on the reveal of his 6/29 album release date on Instagram posting, “Spllashhhh bros” to his over eight million followers. the pair collaborated on the 2016 song “No Shopping.” He released his debut album “Excuse My French” back in 2013.
Most recently the rapper has been romantically linked to Basketball Wives star Evelyn Lozada and dated Khloe Kardashian, appearing on several episodes of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
