Two days after posting a celebratory message on Instagram touting the success of his debut album, rapper Rich The Kid is lucky to be alive. “8 plaques already in 2018!!! “The World Is Yours” is now GOLD & otw to platinum,” the Atlanta rapper said. “Thank God for another blessing and thank everybody that contributed to it. Plaques for the whole gang what ya favorite?”

Rich The Kid real name Dimitri Roger, released his debut solo mixtape, “Been About the Benjamins” back in 2013. Since then, Rich has been on the rise. His song “New Freezer” featuring Kendrick Lamar went platinum back in March. His label, Rich Forever Music, is also prepping the July 13th release of the mixtape “Rich Forever 4.”

According to reports, Rich The Kid was the victim of a home invasion in Los Angles, California. The alleged incident occurred in the home of his girlfriend, model and DJ Tori Brixx. Several armed men, forcibly entered the home and beat the Atlanta rapper, pistol whipping him. The robbers reportedly fled from the residence “with a significant amount of cash and jewelry.” The LAPD were called and they responded to the armed robbery promptly. Los Angeles Police Department is “investigating a home invasion robbery,” but does not currently have suspects and officers have not made any arrests. The “New Freezer” rapper was hospitalized and a photo was shared of him on a hospital stretcher, seemingly unresponsive.

Rich The Kid has not been without his share of controversy. As we previously reported, A video surfaced capturing Rich, with a large entourage on a street corner, and Lil Uzi (real name Symere Woods) standing opposite Rich, attempting a discussion. When asked why Uzi came up to Rich so angry, Uzi said, “It don’t matter! Why you acting crazy? I don’t have nothing to say, bro. Let’s do it!”

Fans seemed very concerned about the hospital photo of Rich The Kid. “Stay strong boa we love you boa,” said one fan. “RICH THE KID! Get well bro you deserve better. They don’t want to see you winning,” posted another well wisher. Rich is wearing a neck brace and is seemingly in a lot of pain. Rapper/producer, Diplo said “Bro, get up we got work to do.” Diplo, Rich Brian, Young Thug, & Rich The Kid collaborated on the song “Bankroll.”
