Michael Jordan’s Daughter Jasmine Is Engaged
Jasmine Jordan is definitely smiling from ear to ear. The daughter of NBA legend Michael Jordan is engaged to former Syracuse University basketball player Rakeem Christmas. Jasmine took to Instagram to announce her engagement, posting a series of photos on her page with the caption,
We’ve been together for a while now. We’re growing stronger everyday now. It feels so good and there is no doubt I will stay with you | (green emoji heart) #ImENGAGED”. Kay Malone who is the wife of NBA Hall Of Famer and legend Karl Malone left a comment under her post. “Congrats beautiful”. Actor/comedian Flex Alexander also left well wishes and congratulated the couple. “@mickijae congratulations!!!!!! Super happy for you guys!!! Wishing you many many years of happiness”. She also tweeted about the exciting news Sunday (June 10) to her many followers as well. “Happily Engaged | (green emoji heart) @R_Xmas25”.
The couple both attended Syracuse University. Jasmine graduated with a degree in Sports Management. Rakeem was a starter for the university which advanced to the 2013 Final Four. In 2015, he was drafted the second round of the NBA draft by the Indiana Pacers. He has also played in the NBA’s D-League and for pro teams in both Turkey and New Zealand.
Michael Jordan has three children (Jeffrey, Marcus and Jasmine) from his ex wife Juanita Vanoy, whom he married in 1989. Michael and Juanita divorced in 2006.
In 2013, he married his longtime girlfriend, Yvette Prieto. In 2014, they welcomed identical twin daughters named Victoria and Ysabel.
