Manny Halley Settles $50 Mill Lawsuit Against Young Thug’s Biz Manager
theJasmineBRAND exclusively reports, Manny Halley and Young Thug’s business manager have settled their lawsuit. The rapper’s former manager and David Weise and David Weise & Associates have amicably resolved the suit with both parties agreeing there was no criminal conduct. The
suit was filed in Los Angeles County and the settlement amount has not been disclosed.
theJasmineBRAND broke the story last year – David Weise & Associates (Thug’s business manager) accused Manny of stealing funds and inappropriately using them on behalf of the rapper.
Last year, Manny partnered up with Lyor Cohen and added Young Thug to his “Imani Entertainment Group” for management.
Thug’s business manager threatened to contact LAPD’s criminal department, claiming Manny attempted to charge over $200,000 to one of Thug’s business manager’s employee’s accounts.
However, Manny painted a different story. Manny’s camp claimed that Thug’s business manager was trying to cover up their own mishaps and incompetence.
Manny explained that the $200k that they alleged he attempted to steal was actually for Young Thug’s private jets for his tour.
Manny also alleged that in the past, Thug’s business company was not appropriately overseeing his finances and at one point the electricity in his home was turned off, car note payments were missed, along with his cell phone.
He filed a $50 million defamation suit against David Weise & Associates, including damages for: slander, libel, intentional interference with prospective economic advantage, negligent interference with prospective economic advantage and intentional interference with contractual relations.
