Former Basketball Wives Star Brandi Maxiell Moves Past Cheating Scandal w/ Husband, Celebrates 9 Year Marriage
Former Basketball Wives LA star Brandi Maxiell and her husband, former Detroit Pistons baller Jason Maxiell, have gone through cheating scandals, breast cancer, fertility issues, and rekindling. It’s needless to say that they’ve had their fair share of ups and downs which for the most part, have been broadcast on VH1 during Brandi’s time as a “Basketball Wife.” Brandi, 35, recently gave her followers a glimpse of a possible light at the end of the tunnel for her strained marriage.
She posted an Instagram video filled with pictures from the start of her relationship with Jason, to their wedding, pregnancy, and the couple in recent years. The messages in the video read:
“9 year anniversaryIf I love you I won’t give up easily, leaving would be my last option!A perfect marriage is just two imperfect people who refuse to give up on each other.Marriage requires you to be strong and things will get better. It may be stormy now, but it never rains forever.Marriage is home maintenance. When something breaks, you fix it. You don’t buy a new house.Marriage is a gift from God to us. The quality of our marriage is our gift to him.You should want the kind of marriage that makes your kids want to get married.Love wins”
Brandi added this caption, celebrating the triumphs of their marriage. She said:
“@brandimaxiell “Real relationships are when you can fight like enemies, laugh like best friends and love like soul mates.” Met him at 17 and look what God did…lifelong best friend! #9yearanniversary #NobodySaidThatIt’dBeEasy #TheyJustPromisedItWouldBeWorthIt”
Brandi was open with viewers about how her marriage previously struggled due to infidelity starting in 2016. She hinted at another bout with cheating with an Instagram post just this past February.
She posted a screenshot, which implied Jason had blocked her from following him. The caption read:
“Everyone go follow my FUCKED UP HUSBAND @o.d.od I can’t seem to because he likes to follow bitches! #CallMs.Duncan2018 #dmhimandtellhimhislosttoo”
Jason and Brandi Maxiell will appear on this season of “Iyanla Fix My Life,” which premieres August 11, 2018 on OWN.
