Brooklyn Rapper Casanova Charged After A Woman Was Allegedly Punched, Choked And Robbed At A Diner
Brooklyn rapper Casanova, real name Caswell Senior, has stayed out of trouble since a string of bad decisions and jail time riddled his early years. However, it seems that may soon change. According to new reports, Casanova has been charged with robbery after a woman says she was punched and robbed at Good Stuff Diner in West Village.
The incident reportedly happened on August 5th. Casanova and his entourage were eating at the diner when they allegedly got into a dispute with a 23-year-old woman because they thought she was taping them. According to the victim, she was put in a headlock by one of Casanova’s crew members as she had her cell phone forcibly taken from her to have the video deleted. The woman says she was punched by both the rapper and his female acquaintances. She says she was also choked until she passed out.
Casanova’s attorney denies that the rapper laid hands on the woman.
“Casanova adamantly denies the allegation that he assaulted anyone. Any contention he did so is totally false. We are in the process of conducting our own investigation into these false allegations.”
Casanova’s wife, Jasmere Corvette, implies that the accusations are an attempt at a money grab.
“Maybe she want a check. He’s a rapper — That the new thing to do. If someone else touched, she might say he touched her or whatever, but she know her role in this.”
Casanova has not spoken about the incident publicly.
