CNN’s Van Jones & Wife File For Divorce After 13 Year Marriage
CNN host Van Jones and his wife Jana Carter have officially filed for divorce after 13 years of marriage. According to court documents, Jana filed for divorce just a week ago after being privately separated since May of this year. The pair issued a joint statement on their divorce.
“Though we have decided to end our marriage, we still love each other very much. We will continue raising our kids together, running our businesses together and supporting each other’s growth. There is no beef or drama — just evolution,”

Van issued his own statement to his Instagram followers, insisting that he and Jana will remain friends despite their marital status. He posted a photo of them together with the caption reading:
“@vanjones68 #FamilyForever … Divorce means the end of a marriage, not the end of a family. ??? #FamilyForever ”
However, several followers expressed confusion at the fact that Van said he and Jana are family. Instagram user @kimdoylelapsley questioned:
“Did you decide not to divorce?”
Van replied:
“we have kids together so we are family regardless – ring or no ring. We are ending the marriage, not the family.”

Van, who is managed by Roc Nation, spoke with rapper Jay Z about how he fought for his marriage with superstar Beyoncé earlier this year.
Van Jones and Jana Carter were married in 2005. They share two sons – Mattai and Cabral. We wish them the best of luck in their co-parenting journey.
