Kanye West Explains Why He’s Wearing Pro Trump MAGA Hat Again

Kanye West Sports MAGA Hat + Colin Kaepernick Sweatshirt
Kanye West turned heads for styling a signature “Make America Great Again” hat with a white Colin Kaepernick sweatshirt. The rapper strutted the outfit on Thursday, as he previewed new music from his album, which is slated for release on Saturday.
The rapper gave details about his outfit, claiming he was the owner of the hat due to some minor alterations to it.
The elephant in the room is I wear my hat right. But it’s my hat, I redesigned it. I changed the brim, I changed the shape right here, and I put positive energy into the hat.

The hat is deemed to be a close representation to president Donald Trump. Trump used the hat as merchandise to promote his presidential campaign in 2016. West received flak while over the summer for rocking the hat. The Chicago rapper sat down with T.I. and defended why he decided to wear it,
Me putting the hat on forces an evolution. Even for me, I’ve learned so much more in the past few days because I’m getting this energy, positively or negatively, agreeing with me, disagreeing with me… When I wear that hat, it’s like a fight for equality. Like, ‘Oh, I can wear this hat, too.’
Adding,
If I had not done what I felt, and I just thought, then it would have never happened. And when I wear that hat, it’s like a fight for equality. Like, ‘Oh, I can wear this hat too.’
West is set to release is second solo project of the year called “YANDHI” on Saturday (Sept. 29).
