After years of begging fans and anticipation from rap lovers alike, Tha Carter V album has finally been released.

Tha Carter V is Lil Wayne’s 12th studio album and his first project since being released from his contract with Cash Money Records. For those fans who waited through continuous years of legal battles for this day to come, Lil Wayne gifted them with a 23-track album featuring cameos by Nicki Minaj, Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott, XXXTentacion, Ashanti, his baby mama Nivea and even Lil Wayne’s 19-year-0ld daughter Reginae Carter.

The album came out in the wee hours of Friday, September 28 as the New Orleans rapper was celebrating his 36th birthday.  Earlier this week, Wayne told fans that the album was on the way — for real this time!
