Kehlani is joining the wonderful world of motherhood. The singer took to social media on Friday to announce that she was 17 weeks pregnant with her first child.

Amidst the news of Kehlani’s pregnancy, many have been wondering who the father of the child is, especially considering Kehlani was most recently in a relationship with a woman. To that, Kehlani says,

She also revealed that she’s having a baby with the only man she can trust — her best friend.

Kehlani implied that she was never hiding who he was and that the mystery man was right in everyone’s face the entire time.

It appears the trustworthy best friend that is fathering Kehlani’s child is songwriter Javie Young-White.

On Nicki Minaj‘s Queen Radio, Kehlani revealed a few details about Javie, including the fact that he was bisexual.

I was lucky enough to find a man who was a bisexual male and we just really understand each other.

She also discussed the possibility of marriage.

That’s something I have to think about over time, I think we’re both still understanding what marriage means to us, but it’s definitely something we’ve discussed. We love each other, but taking it to the government is a whole other level.

As for anyone who has something negative to say about Javie or Kehlani’s sexuality, she says,

Everybody should mind their business when it comes to other people’s sexuality.
