Aretha Franklin’s Lawyer Requests Her Estate Pay Her Late Attorney Fees Totaling Out To $54K!
The late Aretha Franklin’s lawyer is ready for his bill to be paid. Reports detail that Gregory Reed says the deceased singer has not made a payment since August 2012, and she owed him money when she was still alive with an unpaid bill dating back six years ago.
Reed is now seeking the debt be paid for by her estate. In court documents, the lawyer says his firm was essential in providing Franklin a few services before her passing, including her final Atlantic Records contract. The documents state he is expecting almost $54K in payments.

Her last payment in 2012 was around $10K. Franklin passed away in August 2018 due to cancer.
