“Clueless” Movie Remake Underway

Paramount Studios To Remake “Clueless” 23 Years After The Original
Paramount Studios is looking to revamp the 1995 teen comedy, Clueless, which starred Alicia Silverstone as Cher and Stacy Dash as her best friend Dionne. Paramount has reportedly hired Marquita Robinson to write for the film. Robinson also serves as a writer and story editor for Netflix’s GLOW series.
Girls Trip writer Tracy Oliver will be producing the new remake.
This won’t be the only time you can catch the return of Clueless, “Clueless, the Musical,” starring Disney star Dove Cameron as Cher, will debut in New York next month.
The original Clueless became a cult classic, grossing $56 million in the U.S. box office and making the quote “as if” a new catchphrase. The film was then turned into a television spin-off which replaced Alicia Silverstone with Rachel Blanchard and went for three seasons.
