Drake Claims He Was Racially Profiled In Vancouver Casino
A casino in Vancouver is apologizing after being put on blast by Drake. According to the superstar, he was racially profiled at the luxury resort Parq Vancouver and blocked from gambling at their casino.
Over the weekend, Drake posted an Instagram story calling out Parq. He wrote:
Parq Casino @parqvancouverbc is the worst run business I have ever witnessed…profiling me and not allowing me to gamble when I had everything they originally asked me for.
Drake didn’t go into further detail about what happened but the incident was enough to spark outrage and cause Parq to apologize for what happened. In a statement, Parq’s president Joe Brunini issued an apology.
You may be aware of a situation at our casino last night. On behalf of Parq Vancouver we would like to apologise for the experience our customer had. We are operating in one of the most complex, highly regulated industries and are always looking to better our communication and customer service.
We are constantly improving our communications process to ensure that these new regulations are better understood by all guests. We categorically stand against racism of any kind. We are committed to providing a safe, secure and enjoyable experience for all.
Let that be a lesson, don’t come for Toronto’s golden child.
