Tyler Perry Pays For All Of The Layaway Items At Two Atlanta Area Walmarts

For the holiday season, Tyler Perry decided to give back by paying for all of the items on layaway in two Atlanta area Walmart stores.

Perry announced his good deed on Twitter after mentioning that he originally wanted to do it anonymously but he was afraid that it was not going to be kept a secret for very long. He then surprised shoppers at the Walmart store in East Point, GA and Walmart store in Douglasville, GA, by telling them that all of their layaway items have been paid in full.

To retrieve their items, all shoppers had to do was pay one penny and be on their way. Reportedly, Tyler Perry spent over  $430,000 at the Walmart locations.
