Cardi B Finds Out How Many Grammy’s She’s Nominated For Leaving Court
Cardi B adhered to the judge’s warnings, per the order released on Monday, regarding her absence of truancy. In a long trench coat and brown sunglasses, Cardi appeared strutting her rainbow style tresses, as the media bombarded her with questions regarding her case.
On the flip side of handling her legal business, her music career was still on the up and up. The 61st annual Grammy nominations were announced the same morning Cardi was ordered to appear in court (Dec. 7); the “I Like It” rapper learned how many she had earned, from a reporter, after court was adjourned.
She confirmed her excitement on Instagram by sharing a clip of herself discovering the news.

Cardi B’s debut album “Invasion of Privacy” earned her two nominations: one for Album of the Year and another for Best Rap album; her feature on the pop track “Girls Like You with Maroon 5 earned her a nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance; she transcended genres by creating a Trap-Latin infused sound on “I Like It,” featuring Bad Bunny, and J Balvin, which earned her Record of the Year; while “Be Careful,” landed the Bronx native Best Rap Performance.
The judge released the new mother on no bail and on an order of protection. The judge has also ordered Cardi to not contact the sisters, Baddie Gi and Jade, which includes making threats or comments on social media.
