Dwyane Wade & Gabrielle Union Share Delivery Room Footage
Superstar couple Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union are quickly becoming the faces of infertility awareness and surrogacy. Gabrielle first opened up about her struggles with getting pregnant in her book, “We’re Gonna Need More Wine.” Since then, she and Dwyane have welcomed a healthy baby girl named Kaavia James Union Wade just under a month ago, via a surrogate mother.

Gabrielle has conquered everything from miscarriages to keeping their surrogate pregnancy a secret to internet trolling about her parenting. The actress took to Instagram to share a beautiful new video about her birthing journey. Her caption read:
“Every family is unique. How each family is created and comes together is special. Kaavia James Union Wade’s journey into our arms was long and at times brutal. There were heartbreaks that nearly broke us and streams of tears that turned into raging rivers. And then came Kaavia James. This is our birth journey. Thank you all for the love, support and understanding and all the people who held us up when we lost hope. Watch it with love. (Full video on my IGTV)”
Little Kaavia recently made her television debut with Oprah Winfrey on the special, “Super Soul Conversations,” in which Dwyane and Gabrielle went into detail about why they chose to give birth via surrogate.
But not even an Oprah special kept the Wades from being trolled. Social media users scolded Gabrielle for kissing her newborn baby on the lips. She clapped back:

Congratulations, Wade family!
