Jennifer Lopez Sued For Posting A Photo Of Herself To Social Media, Photog Seeking Up To $150k!
A photographer has filed a lawsuit against Jennifer Lopez and her production company, Nuyorican Productions, for copyright infringement. In court documents, Michael Stewart claims Lopez shared a photo – which he had taken – of herself to her Instagram Story, without his permission; citing the image is licensed to another website.
The image in particular shows Lopez in a colorful blouse with complimenting white pants which hug her hips and curves. Lopez captioned the photo,
Today was a good day!!!
Stewart is seeking profits made off of the image or up to $150,000 in damages.
Lopez isn’t the only celebrity who’s been sued for posting a professional image of themselves without the photographer’s permission. Jessica Simpson, Khloé Kardashian, Gigi Hadid, Odell Beckham Jr., and Blac Chyna have been victims of lawsuits from photo agencies or photographers.
