Iggy Azalea’s Backup Dancer Suffers From Seizure During Performance, Rapper Asks Fans To Not Repost Memes Mocking The Seizure
During a performance in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on Thursday (Dec. 27), one of Iggy Azalea’s backup dancers passed out right before Azalea’s track “Black Widow.” As the track’s intro began to rise, Azalea turned her back to check on the dancer and immediately called for a medic. While in the midst of the performance, the dancer began to shake, and Azalea continued to perform.
The rapper has responded to reports and claims about what happened with the dancer. She wrote on her Instagram Story,
Just want to let everyone asking know my dancer is OKAY! The light & heat caused her to have a seizure. She is backstage feeling much better.

After breaking the news, Azalea followed up with another post about what was going through her mind during the unfortunate circumstance.
I thought [the dancer] had just fallen/twisted her ankle. And it may sound harsh but; you keep singing until the music stops & ask for a medic which is what I did.
We are all really shaken up by what happened & just thankful she is okay.
I know it’s easy to make memes of someone ‘passed out’ but someone having a seizure isn’t funny, it’s really scary! So I hope my fans do not repost some of the memes i’m seeing about my dancer.
