From reality television to a chart-topping and award winning R&B singer, songwriter and television star, it’s safe to say K. Michelle isn’t letting anything hinder her from being successful. The Memphis native just released her third album, “More Issues Than Vogue”, which she discusses with The Breakfast Club. She also discusses getting too much cosmetic work done, what went wrong with former love interest Idris Elba, and why she returned to Love and Hip Hop Atlanta. Below are a few excerpts from the interview.

On naming her new album “More Issues Than Vogue”:

I saw a timeline, and on that timeline it said it and I just bursted out laughing. They always put these issues on me. First I was a liar, she’s a thot, booty fake..

On reducing the size of her butt:

You’re gonna see the remainder, process and everything. It is smaller now.

On getting to much cosmetic surgery:

I got all of this surgery thinking it was just gonna make me feel great about everything. And new teeth, new breasts, ass, lipo, face fillers…happiness can’t come from that. When you go home alone and you look, you’ve still got to deal with issues. Plastic surgery doesn’t cover up the inside, there’s no doctor for that.

It’s always people who go overboard and you look at them and say why did they do that? I don’t wanna do that. I feel like I had went overboard on my butt.

INF - Idris Elba Flies Out of LAX

On why her and Idris Elba didn’t work:

I really genuinely loved him. So I feel like even though he knew that these songs were about him, and I made it a point not bash him in interviews. I feel like we still would’ve been in a better place if maybe I just hadn’t said it was him.

You can love somebody and y’all not talk anymore, but if it’s real love it comes back. So I can’t ask this man to maybe, trust me after that.

On rejoining the Love and Hip Hop Atlanta cast:

I’m the highest paid cast member of Love and Hip Hop. I have a family, I’ve got businesses, and I’m gonna promote the freak out of this.

The songstress also announced she’ll be opening a restaurant in Atlanta as well.
