Morgan Freeman Allegedly Molested Step-Granddaughter, According to Her Killer’s Mother
Oscar award-winning actor Morgan Freeman‘s family can finally close a heartbreaking chapter in their lives. His step-granddaughter, E’Dena Hines, was tragically stabbed to death by then-boyfriend, Lamar Davenport, in 2015. Her murderer was sentenced to 20 years in prison, and charged with manslaughter. But the sentencing ended with a shocking twist.
In an emotional outburst, Lamar Davenport’s mother blamed Morgan Freeman for E’Dena’s death, screaming allegations that he molested her as a child. Lamar’s mother said:
“Morgan Freeman molested her and he caused this! He did this!”
She said this of her son, Lamar:
“He’s innocent! It was an accident!”
However, Lamar’s crime could not have been an accident. He stabbed E’Dena over 25 times in a drug-induced rage in the plain sight of neighbors. This also wasn’t the first time Morgan Freeman has been accused of sexual misconduct.
Last year, the actor was accused of sexual assault by eight women. He denied these accusations. The alleged molestation was mentioned in Manhattan Supreme Court during his step-granddaughter’s murder trial. He also denied rumors of being married to E’Dena Hines in 2012. He said:
“The recent reports of any pending marriage or romantic relationship of me to anyone are defamatory fabrications from the tabloid media designed to sell papers. What is even more alarming is that these fabrications are now being picked up by the legitimate press as well.”
Prior to her passing, E’Dena also denied the allegations of a romantic relationship with her former step-grandfather. She said:
“These stories about me and my grand-father are not only untrue, they are also hurtful to me and my family.”
May E’Dena Hines rest in peace.
