Candace Owens Clarifies Comments After Being Accused of Agreeing W/ Hitler + Calls Hillary & Bill Clinton Trash & Racist

Candace Owens responded to criticism over allegations she defended Adolf Hitler. According to Owens, during an event in the United Kingdom, she was asked her thoughts on globalism vs. nationalism. Owens stated at the event:

I actually don’t have any problems at all with the word ‘nationalism.’ I think that the definition gets poisoned by elitists that actually want globalism. Globalism is what I don’t want. … Whenever we say ‘nationalism,’ the first thing people think about, at least in America, is Hitler. You know, he was a national socialist, but if Hitler just wanted to make Germany great and have things run well, OK, fine.

The quote gained traction upon a journalist from BuzzFeed pointing it out. Owens took to Periscope to clarify her sentiments by stating:

People wrongly conflate nationalism to mean that Hitler – Hitler was a national socialist, but in my interpretation…you wouldn’t say he’s a nationalist because he wasn’t about putting Germans first. There were German Jews that he was putting in camps and murdering. … So that’s the argument I was making on stage: This man, by no means, should be considered a nationalist.

She also made it clear she believes Hitler was a

homicidal, psychotic maniac who was hellbent on World domination outside the confides of Germany.

Owens also responded back to Chelsea Clinton, Hilary Clinton’s daughter, after Chelsea tried to signal out her statements. Chelsea tweeted:

…Ignorance about Hitler’s evil regime must always be confronted. That burden should not fall on Holocaust survivors. There was nothing, using own words, ‘great’ about the Third Reich before it began annexing & invading its neighbors.

Owens replied:

Don’t you ever in your miserable life have the the audacity to tweet at someone who educating blacks on the nasty, racist, harmful “evil regime” policies inflicted by your soulless mother and father. There will be a . And your trash parents will be alive to witness it.
