Keri Hilson Will Release New Music This Summer

It’s been nearly 8 years since Keri Hilson‘s last single dropped, leaving fans wondering why she retreated from the music industry. Last year, she did several interviews detailing how depression fueled the long hiatus.

To fans surprise, Keri took to Instagram on the 10 year anniversary of her debut album, “In A Perfect World…,” to announce her highly anticipated return. She said:

“Today marks 10 years since the release of my first studio album, “In A Perfect World…” I didn’t mean to be gone so long, I only needed my real world to be perfect…it is now. Thank you for your patience. The wait is over. I’m ready. Summer 2019.”

Earlier this year, the “Pretty Girl Rock” singer hinted that her record label was holding her new music hostage.
