Nipsey Hussle – 1 Person Dead & 2 Injured After Drive-By Shooting During Rapper’s Funeral Procession, Says LAPD
After a week of peace in unity in Los Angeles following the tragic passing of rapper and activist Nipsey Hussle, violence reportedly broke out during his funeral processional that left one dead. Four others were also injured after gunfire erupted via a drive-by during the event meant to celebrate the life of Hussle.
Michael Moore, L.A. police chief took to Twitter to confirm the news.
“In the midst of this procession we have a multi-4 Shooting at 103 St and Main St. Victims are 3 Male Blacks and 1 Female Black – ages 30-50 years old. Tragically one is deceased. Suspects in gray Hyundai fired on the victims. We must stop this senseless violence.”

The new tragedy took place after Hussle’s celebration of life packed out the Staples Center.

During the celebration, his longtime girlfriend and mother of his two-year-old son, Lauren London, took the stage to share her thoughts of Hussle. She read a text message she sent Hussle just months before he passed away, which was also in the program for the service.

Hussle’s mother, Angelique Smith, offered encouraging words as well.
His friends, rappers YG, producer DJ Mustard, and Snoop Dogg also shared a few words.
44th President, Barack Obama also wrote a letter for the service.

Hussle died on March 31 after being gunned down in front of his South L.A. store, The Marathon. The suspect, Eric Holder, is facing murder charges.
